Down Syndrome Awareness Unisex Knee High Socks
We created these Down Syndrome Awareness Knee High Socks to honor all people with Down syndrome. The sale of these socks also help fund Down syndrome causes as we donate 10% from every sale to the Association for Children with Down Syndrome (ACDS) and the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS).
John’s Crazy Socks was co-founded and inspired by John Cronin, a young man with Down syndrome. John is a great example of how people with Down syndrome are attending school, working and contributing to society in many wonderful ways. John suggested that we create a sock to raise awareness of Down syndrome and benefit Down syndrome causes. John helped design the initial concept for these socks.
The sock has a multi-color icon of 3 ❤️ 21. The 3-21 represents both World Down Syndrome Day (March 21) and the extra chromosome that people with Down syndrome carry. Most of us are born with 23 pairs of chromosomes, but people with Down syndrome are born with a full or partial extra copy of chromosome 21, thus 3-21.
